R-M124 negative

Ayib Sadenov 225439, predicted haplogroup R-M124. However, his recent SNP test reveals that he is M124-.
He has only anonymous match at 12 markers. The section Ancestral origin states this person is from Saudi Arabia. Mr. Sadenov from Qoja/Khoja tribe, members of which considered as descendants of Islamic missionaries of Arabic origin.

Has he tested M479?

FTDNA scheduled backbone test and I hoped they test M479 too. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. His results are M207+, M173-, M124-

Makes sense.
Let's see if the Malta, Baikal find turns out to be the same. If so, that would be a very ancient connection, though I think the Islamic-Khoja one is more likely.
